St. Mary’s County Commissioners recognized the Lexington Park Lions Club for 70 years of dedicated service to the community with a Proclamation issued Tuesday, 28 June. In congratulating the Lions, Commissioners cited the work done by the Lions with their programs of vision screening for pre-school students, financial assistance for those with vision or hearing impairments, scholarships for graduating seniors, and more. Accepting the Proclamation were Lion Sal Raspa and Tom McCarthy, representing the experience of 44 years Lionism and the fresh insight of the new member, respectively.
