Imagine not having a comfortable place to rest your head.

Consider what it’s like to look at the couch, a chair, or even a blanket on the floor, and know that’s where you’ll have to sleep again tonight. Many children don’t have to imagine this. Going to “bed” becomes a wish, not a reality.

It doesn’t have to be this way. You can change that. You can help a child sleep safely, soundly—and peacefully—in a new bed.

On Saturday, September 26, Lexington Park Lions will join hands with the St. Mary’s County Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) to sponsor a “build” of 30 beds (bunks and singles), for kids ages 3 to 17 who do not have beds of their own.

Saturday, September 26, is coincidently the date of the national SHP Bunks Across America day—a nationwide day of service when people all over the country will be working for the youth in their communities.

You are invited to join in the fun and make a difference! Wear your Lions shirt or vest and let’s stand together and BUILD THOSE BEDS!
