Linda Dodson, Senior Logistics Engineer, FMS Malaysia, California, MD has been a member of the Lexington Park Lions Club for five years. Chartered in 1946, the Lexington Park Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest volunteer service organization with 1.4 million members worldwide in more than 180 countries. Linda says, “It is great to work with a non-profit organization of men and women willing to devote time, talent and treasure to enriching community life in St. Mary’s County. Our members’ focus is on providing eye care to those who need help. Throughout the year volunteers like Zenetex help our Lions Club collect used eyeglasses to be delivered to regional Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers where they are cleaned, sorted by prescription strength and packaged for shipment. Then your old glasses are distributed to people in need during natural disasters in the United States and to developing countries where they will have the greatest impact. Be proud of yourselves for what you gave, which is the gift of sight.”
